Thanks for sucessful rear springs and tow hitch

I just wanted to post that I have succesfully utilized Acura front springs to replace the tired springs on the back of my 89 Wagon. It raised the rear about 1/2 inch above centerline, and it really made a positive improvement for handling.

I have also successfully adapted a hitch to the back. I used it yesterday to tow our tent trailer and it did a pretty satisfactory job. Adapting it was a real bear and it would not have been possible without an arc welder to fabricate adapter parts. i utilized tow hook mounts as well as a through the frame bolt at the rear of the bracket. The tow hitch isn't going anywhere, but adapting it to the curve of the frame was a real bugger.

Thanks

The ride is less mushy than it used to be. It is a little stiff, but not bad. I'll work on getting some pictures. I pulled the springs from an 89 Acura, during a parts run at the pick the part.

As far as the change goes, overall I would highly recommend the spring change. The car drives and handles far better, in my opinion. As far as towing, I need to fabricate some mirror extenders, before I feel comfortable I can drive it without getting pulled over by the Polizi.
