so my car was involved in a hit and run incident in my SCHOOL PARKING LOT! fortunately for me, i know the car that hit me, because i see it all the time and i had made a mental note of it before i left my park spot.

basically what happened:

i park my car next to a green VW Passat that was angled awkwardly (its a staggered parking lot). i come back 3 hours later to discover a nice graze along the drivers rear quarter panel and bumper. obviously, she back into it coming out of her initially stupid park job. it rubbed of a chunk of my paint, left her paint, and scratched up my bumper real nicely. thank God it wasnt too serious. anyways i called the cops out...

so we worked out a deal that if i see the car again he will talk to the owner, and see whats up. hopefully this gets worked out!!

I'd just go walk-about in the carpark and find the car with the scrapes/white paint. Do all classes run on a schedule? Because if they do then just take a look around and if worse comes to worse just check the carpark same time next week.

i know exactly which car it was. i have seen it before, and the way the car was angled in the parking spot it was sort of inevitable. i just figured the dumbass would have more brains then that. hopefully i shall see it tomorrow, if not, then wednesday for SURE because classes do run on a very simple schedule

Dude - that sucks. Something like that happened to me once, and now if someone's wheels are cocked like they entered from the wrong angle, I just drive on and find another space. When I parked next to my jerk neighbor years ago, I made a mental note that if he didn't straighten out his wheels when he backed out, he'd hit me, and sure as shit he did. Still pisses me off to think about it. :x

Anyway, best of luck when you confront the person. It's called hit and run out here, if somebody damages your car and leaves the scene. They can't claim "they didn't realize they hurt your car" - well, ok, they can claim that, but your car shows the truth. Geeez.

same here. i hate people who dont know how to park or drive. i hope you get justice from this unfortunate incident. let her pay dearly so lesson can be learned.

oh she'll be paying alright. good thing is the cop is on my side all the way he was like "man, my car is my baby. if this happened to me i'd be mad as hell! i know how you feel" hehe.. i'm going to look for the car today.

my plan is this:
write a note/letter explaining the situation and the fact that she has to pay for the damages and that the police has been informed. give her the option of paying straight up without having to deal with the cops, or if she will refuse that i will have the police interfere.

see what happens. fair enough eh?

lol my friend really wants to key her car but i dont want to do anything illegal either and especially dont want to start a war of sorts.

well i looked around today and couldnt find the fricking car. i'll look around again tomorrow. there is no way this is going down lightly.

bitch prolly got scared and wont show anymore lol. oh well, 3 weeks of school left... she has to show up soon enough :twisted:

I had a B2000 truck parked onthe street in front of my house. It's raining out. Was upstairs play Aces over Europe or something like it and heard:
-vroom vroom vroom (V8)
-screeeeech
-screeeech
-BANG!
-screeeeech

Drunk kid at neighbors party around the corner. They claimed they didn't know him well but lived over "there" in another part of San Antonio. Wreck left a Mustang emblem and red Mustang shrapnel.

Call cops, file report, etc. No luck finding out who it is.

Sooo - I drove home from work every day for a few months through the kid's neighborhood until the fatefull day I see a late 60s Mustang with crash damage matching the hit and run. Got the plate, call the detective. Detective says, "Wow I'll call you back." Kids dad calls 30 minutes later asking for mercy I say no kid goes to jail and my car gets fixed.

It's worth doing your own legwork. I wanted to follow the kid home and "discuss" it with him but then I go to jail and can't feed my family. Too bad he ruined a nice Mustang.

just yesterday outside the shop, some lady in a big luggy SUV backed into our accountants caddy, and drove off. circled the building and came back to all of us raging at her. no damage done to the caddy tho, thats one car America made right.

meh, its scraped off a good mount of paint.. already tried buffing it and nothing happen.
