New wagon To the List

Bleh well i picked up my first wagon a week ago she has some rust around the rear quarters and a lil on the drivers door, this is a local junk yard with two 2wd wagons that i am getting the fender from and a new hood, and metal for rust repair, also getting ride of the ugly 17's :)
( the reason the rear quarter lips are black is because of prior rust repair.) Its also a auto :S
Also if anyone needs parts off from a 2wd wagon lmk like i said their is 2 in a local junk yard

those should look good. make sure you get pics up with them.
  • yea i most definatly will
  • so i just found out my power stearing pump is leaking from two of the lines, my question is does anyone know if the lines have lots of presure, and if i cut the junk tube out and replace it with ruber would it hold?

On the pressure side I wouldn't advise rigging it. The return side, yes you could use hose and clamps. The pressure "high side" will go from the pump to the steering rack, and the return from the rack to the reservoir.
  • ok cool, thanks for the help

Wow those rear springs are completely uncaptive!
  • haha yea the cap for the springs gets stuck on the top of the strut, i bought a camber kit for the front its the one that adjust at the studs that stick up into the engine bay, but when i adjust it to where it needs to be the upper ball joint hits om the frame seam, if i bought the camber kit that adjusts at the upper ball joint would i be able to fix my camber and not hit the frame seal?
  • anyone?

i have the front UCAs with adjustable ball joint and mine still hits sometimes......time for the persuasion tool....
  • hmm that sucks, yay hammer time!! Lol

forget the camber kit. just run with negative camber. i am for the front and rear. as long as you have a correct alignment you wont ruin your tires. you will still have a flat wear on the tire.

    ^^^

definitely get the aligment and make sure they correct the toe. you shouldve seen what bad toe did to my tires...
  • would bad toe cause the tiers shake?
  • HaydzHaydz Moderator
Tyres shaking is usually due to improper balancing of the tyre itself but can be other suspension components (even bushes) that are loose/have a large tollerance.

Incorrect toe normally wears tyres like crazy on a road car..
  • Tyres shaking is usually due to improper balancing of the tyre
    or the tyre itself...
if so, you can balance all you want...
  • hmm, cause when i get going around 45mph my stearing wheel shakes, and when i was fixin the power stearing pump, i noticed that all the bushings on the drivers side bushings have been replaced with polyurithan red bushings and the passenger side has stock bushings, also theirs like a inch or two of play in the steering wheel when im not moving, but when i am driving its fine :-S
  • and when i hit 55 mph or more it is fine i was doing 80mph the other day and it rode smooth and straight
