How to re-pad your armrest

Bam-Bam's excellent "How to Install your DB2 Armrest" inspired this. I found a very similar looking armrest from a '90-'91 Accord in great shape, with a very dirty cover. I don't show removing the old cover and the old padding. The padding mostly poured out on the floor like sand. I found that the plastic lid was cracked, so I decided to buy a small sheet of thin plastic at Tap Plastics to reinforce the cracked area. (Some kid probably stood on it when moving from front to back seat, just a guess.) The cover was hand-washed first, then given the "Spray and Wash" treatment and washed twice in the machine. Came out nice, but it's a bit worn and I may replace it someday, using it as a pattern. When I find somebody who wants to sew it for me.
