there's a sticky at the top in the Engine&Drivetrain section. there's a tentative list of what you're gonna need.
if you do a search, you'll find a lot of good, reliable sources that will walk you along the swap. this swap is so common, so you wont have a problem. for the most part, it is a direct drop-in, except for wiring etc. i think another thing is the exhaust manifold piping not lining up. i really forget. someone else is going to have to back me up on this one.
its an auto right now and need to stay for like three month girl can't drive a 5 spd plus i just bought a new act clutch for the 5spd so its staying an auto for right now will my 1.5 16v auto trans bolted up to my 92 jdm dohc zc and what ecu can i use to keep it an automatic for right now
i just go back from gerting parts from JDMshuttle and blew up my motor. i have a lot of blow by and finaly over heating trying to limp home. had to AAA it 25 miles (thank god i got plus) next week i am now trying to get out to wagongay out in vegas for the motor and more parts for my wagons. i hope i dont fuck up my truck making the run. wish me luck.
finished the swap and it runs like shit. after having clutch problems. missing bolts, rewiring distributor, new cap and wires, and alot of other things, it seems to jerk under hevy load. it also uses alot of gas. need help.
here is some good. i changed out the plugs, checked the timing and found the intake cam was a tooth off, changed the ecu with an extra pm6, and advanced the timing to 25. now she has balls. the action clutch with a 6 puck disc realy grabs hard. so far nothing bad but the fuel. what can i do to get some milage back. what ecu came with the ZC Black Top.
