What size fuel tank do the wagons have?

I am looking to purchase a southern or western 6spd RWTD sometime in my life. however its a good 2,000 mile drive to get it home. I plan to fly there and drive back.

I am just wondering how many gallons is your fuel tank. And if you aren't on the standard system, how many litres does it take?

Thanks,
Shane

    mpg ?

I've already read up on www.fueleconomy.gov for what this type of car is 'rated' at so I'm not looking at that.

I was wanting to know so i can calculate how many times I will have to fill up too.

Is this for all Honda Civic Wagons? or just RTWD models?

    Thanks,
    Shane
  • All, its the same tank. I have never been risky enough (since there is no low fuel light) to go till I run out (perhaps cause I don't have a cell phone  ). The most I have ever needed to top it off is 11.1 gallons. I generally get about 25-30mpg with my RT4wd in town, short(er) trips.

I usually get around 200 miles out of a tank before I fill up at 1/4 - sometimes more, sometimes less. That's also on the crappy ethanol winter mix they're pumping these days, which have sent my mpg to the LOW 20s rather than high 20s as usual. I do have an automatic, so add a couple mpg to my numbers for what the stick would give you.

thanks guys, that basically answered my questions of the size and if they are all the same (for wagons)
