Front End ( rubbing noise)????'s

This may or may not be drivetrain related. And I know I've dealt with this problem before but I can't rember the cause. So when I pull left into a parking spot or make a slow left turn/ u-turn, I get a almost rubbing noise on the right side tire/hub/brake????. Its not rubbing like tire on fender wells, its like the right tire is turned more than another. For some reason I was thinking tire-rods, like a tire rod is going bad, but I also remember that a bad CV can do this too(I don't have any clicking from the CV). No torn boots or ball joints leaking. Its weird because it reminds me of like having a posi rear end and turning a real sharp corner. One tire seems to drag. It is not a loud noise at all, Its more the combo light noise and feel when the steering wheel is all the way to the right. Its sort of like a low, faint thump-thump-thump-thump. Maybe a bearing when it loads up.
Sorry guys its really hard to describe unless you are riding in the car. Any suggestions????

Ackerman geometry describes the arrangement of the steering linkage so that the inner tire can turn tighter than the outer- that's why the steering arms on your knuckles angle inward. Anyway, that thump sound is the tire (outer, usually)"pushing". think roll-slide-roll-slide...
Sometimes you'll only get the symptom on certain surfaces, like sealcoated asphalt, or painted concrete, even when there's no real problem, especially with aftermarket wheels/tires.
Can someone post the symptons of bad ball joints?
Thanks guys!
if you dont' have wiglling and jiglling in a straight line, between 50 and 90 mph
you can forget the most of above mentioned
I've felt an exaggurated case of this in a 4wd pickup with the front hubs locked. But the front diff is open all the time, so this shouldn't happen in a wagon.
