my rack and pinion gear- Tie Bar has tears in the rubber boot.. i was thinking of getting a new rubber seal boot and packing it up with grease from my grease gun.

  • i meant to say 'tie rod issue'..it was late last night and i was exhausted from trying to wrestle that alt from under the car.
there's little to no room to get that alt out..
anyhow..yeah..not tie bar..tie rod boot is torn.

  • I figured it out myself..

    Bingo.
The boot is torn and needs to be replaced. I bought the replacement for it today. I'll pack it up with lots of grease and tie it up.
