stooopid ac vent question

I'm missing one of my ac vents. I got lucky and theres a 89 sedan, same color interior at the junkyard not a half mile from my house.

Do these vents just pop out? Looks like mabey I'd just put a small screwdriver on the top side and carefully pry it out.

Yeah they just pop out. I can't remember for sure but I thought there were two tabs on the top and the bottom. Again not sure but I do remember just popping them out with a screwdriver. I put a rag underneath the screwdriver to prevent mashing the dash but I am sure you could care less about the one at the yard.

they do just pop out, but I'm like 2 for 10 on not breaking them. Usually what happens is that you just break off the face trim, which can be easily glued back on. Also, and I know this doesn't help much right now, it's much easier to win this one in warmer weather. Cold plastic sucks.

Having what I need right across the street was a real shock to me. Just seems to easy. It's almost like a sign... that god exists... and has put the parts there... just to laugh at me when I destroy the parts while trying to pull them out!
