DC2EE wasn't as easy as the DA, but not too hard. lol

Went to Bam-bams today to get these DC seats mounted in my car. Wound up using the outer wagon rail and the inner Integra rail. After some cutting, welding, and mounting we got 'em worked out.

Just some pictures of it all.

The test fit, they line up really well.

The two outer cars made the middle car. LOL

They fit great. I have seat covers to go over them but I didn't get a picture because it was too dark and I'd already pulled out of the garage. But all in all I'm majorly happy with the out come. Thanks for all the help, Trev!

Let's just say it's not direct bolt in! lol

Trev can do anything mechanical/fab work wise so I knew they would be in the car one way or another. Haha!

It was a little more difficult than mine, but it went about the same way: 5 hours to do the first side, then 1 hr. for the other. We fabbed brackets from 1.5" angle for the inner rail to relocate the rear hole (one pictured above bolted to the floor). For the outers we used some 1/4"X3"X3" tabs welded to the integra seat base and then bolted to the wagon slider to make up about a 2" width difference. It could've been done faster and easier maybe, but I wanted the whole deal able to be unbolted and put back stock if necessary... those '88 wagon seat sliders are probably scarce!

True that! And besides the fact I have to take them out to put my carpet back in. They were so nice on the ride home, I can definitely tell the difference in comfort.

They're plain fuzzy. We were working with a deadline and I would rush to take a picture of something before we moved on with it. I wasn't 100% worried about getting pictures. Lol

so since the DC was this difficult, it is safe to say EK seats would be similarly (spelling??) difficult??? thanks

  • Have a very nice set of dc seats sitting in my garage ready to go in my 89 wagon.

I just need to clarify. When your swapping the seat rails...... Are you swapping the entire rail by unbolting them from the side of the seat? I've never done much work with honda seats so I'm new at this. It looks like you can unbolt the slider section from the bottom of rails also.

could you just clarify this for me please.

looks real nice. any impressions as far as how high they sit compared to stock seats?

    Those brackets are sweet!
  • i started messing with the seats today and am making some sense how you made everything work.
Only thing I don't understand is why didn't you just drill a second hole on the inside rail for the back bolt? What does the custom bracket on that side accomplish?
I'm sure i'll figure it out once I get to that side.

The way the rail is made, there just wasn't a place to drill that hole. IIRC the rail's not even flat right there. Seemed like a good idea at the time!
