DOHC ZC swap ??'s a/c, PS, ecu (not covered in ZC swap info)

I have questions for a TURBO (a/c compatible) DOHC ZC swap:
(in a rt-4wd)

A/C (from TX a/c is a must)
-What would I need to be able to keep the a/c when doing a dohc zc swap?
-Would I have to find a DOHC ZC a/c compressor or would the OEM SOHC one work?

Power Steering Pump
-Could you just get a NON-PS rack and pinion from some DX civic?

ECU
-What obd-1 ECU should I use with the DOHC ZC? (for tuning)

  • It can be edited with a lot of work, you would need to socket it and set it up for dataloging like turbo-edit for the PM6/PS9

Most tuners these days are going OBD1.

Just get it working to start with on the PM7 ECU and then do the conversion later. No idea about the A/C sorry, i've ripped that out of every car i've ever owned... except my N15 Pulsar.
  • I could keep the PM7 BUT I am most likely going to build the ZC before I do the swap. So I may do the obd-1 conversion right before the swap.
I use to rip out the a/c until I moved to southeast Texas where the humidity alone kills.
  • I"m not the most familiar with the DOHC ZC but I know they come in both OBD0 and OBD1.

From what I understand, your stock SOHC A/C unit should fit the bracket on the OBD0 ZC, not sure about the OBD1 bracket. I guess if it doesn't fit you'll have to make it work between the ZC bracket and SOHC bracket.

As far as an OBD1 ECU your best bet would be to get the one made for the ZC engine. If you're going all out and tuning it with crome or uberdata you could probably start with the single cam non-vtec and chip it. I think that's like a PO5 or something.

    **-edit- the non-vtec OBD1 is the PO6

The OBD1 ECU for the DOHC ZC is the P29.
The PS pump and bracket are PM7/ZC specific.
