so what did you do to get the spoon mirrors to fit?
not alot of modding, just needed to one longer bolt about 3" long and a lock nut, and using the top hole for clip of the inside panel as one of the top hole that the screw to the mirror base and it pretty much in without modifying the mirror bases or the car. its not a 100% fit, but with a little work it can be better.
its called leverage, and most likely will bend the forks, plus my brother and his s13 he's got/had i should say one of those dildo looking jdm vip shifters he snaped the threads right of the stick so beware!!!!
point taken...never thought about that much as bending stuff...definitely know it has some affect on the throw..but i use my wagon strictly as a cruiser...have to think twice about speed shifting with it.
+10 for hoodride sticker. i'm thinking about put a backup mirror on my wagon too, but you beat me to it. where did you got your? is it stick on by double side? how is it holding up?

thanks, its a stick on double sided one. I got it in japan a few years ago, had it on several projects to find out they now sell it at super autobacs here in so cal ...and i just saw it at pep boys last night.. similar mirrors all different brands...
hoodride atarted as a air cooled vw thing. This dude derek that used to work at a place called kcw up in CO started the company. He was doin great, then flailed on a few deals really bad. Now he's got a lot of people looking for him.... Bad deal!
I still rock the hoodride stencil on my old dumped vw bus.

i however, have absolutely no comment whatsoever about your wheels.
From what i've been told, if shifters aren't at the right length you have a much higher chance of bending the forks.
I could be wrong though.
eg
so is your driveway

It was the day after I sold it that I saw my wagon sitting up for sale.
Had a 67 single cab, narrowed 2" beam, dumped to where I had to raise the steering box that I just sold about 6 months back.
I've still got some vw stuff laying around. if your looking for anything let me know
damn thread jacker! haha
