CA smog for 1990 Civic Wagon 2WD, 5-spd manual

I have a Canadian 1990 Civic Wagon 1.5l 2WD, 5-spd manual, manufactured in Japan (jhmee). I am currently living in Ontario, Canada, but will be moving to California in August. I am wondering if anyone here can tell me what the smog requirements are for this car in CA?

Also any other tips about importing a car from Canada into the States would be appreciated.

Look in the links section, or search. There's a link here for SMOG info.

:? We now use chassic dyno testing.Cost about $40(US) & Test Only $60-$80(US).They do a visual test 1st.There just seeing if any smog stuff is missing. They'll check gas cap, timing & if EGR works. You should be fine.Any speed parts(e.g. headers,CAI,test pipe :?: Smogs are done every 2 years & 1 of those will be at a "Test Only" station(odds are once every 8years).There are smog cameras(few peeps know of this) around so you may need togo to "test Only" mo often. You shouldn't have any probs.Tips:
      Tune-up the wagon
when waiting to pass Smog leave engine runing(this keeps CAT "HOT"(pass smog easier)
Have the exhaust side of the valves adjusted a little looser(of the Honda specs)-causes higher NOX
.They put your frt whls on the rollers & run test.Forgot test lenght, but if your wagon stops b4 end of tests. That's a good thang.Actual test is less than 3 minutes.

As far as shipping ask friends.I used 1 place.Told them when I needed it,lead time and where & they Fcuked me.The next time a friend recommended a company...went PERFECT  Sorry can't remember company.

I just did mine a month ago. I barely passed..Hahahahaha!!! I was happy as shit.

The guys were looking at my intake, and headers and he was like checking for CARB stickers..I said no prob man..I got it.

I found a dude who's doing a hook up for $150-200..I'll be using him for my B swap for sure. Those B series are notorious for not passing in CA.

California's got a pretty tight Smog Requirement. I believe the tightest in the States. If you don't have any mods, i'm sure it'll pass...
