re-upholster seats

i want to know if anyone has ever had there seats re-upholstered? i'm speaking of both front seats and the rear "bench". i'm not looking for something fancy, just having them re-done in black. i'd rather have dark seats os less stains plus i'm sick of having the hide the holes in my seats with seat covers.

i'm sure someone has had some experince with this, please share.

give me an idea on pricing and a place around my area (nc) to have it done (right the first time)

my local mazda dealer did it, and it cost around $1200 for cloth
