(DIY)Antenna replacement
When you end up with something like this...
Antenna broken, cable ripped apart
Get yourself:
Bicycle standard brake housing with inner thread
Make sure you get yourself plenty of length
AND
Wire about 1.8mm, combination plier and energy
cut about an inch 3x
I started from here, removed the inner thread, outer housing nipple first
Find the hole, I had to chop the cable back and forth a couple of times
THEN:
Feed the inner thread downwards
hold the other end then pull back the housing
Use the 3 pieces of wire to do this, wrap round and squeeze gently
make sure its rounded to avoid scratches or use tape.
Chop chop again - gently....but firm
G reat succes, the new antenna.
You can use this method also for audiocables and such under your carpet
