anyways, its a direct bolt in. very easy install you have to use your original tranny though.

you use all your stock parts, basically just change out the motor. you can use stock mounts, wiring harness, even ECU but it is recommended you upgrade to the PM7 (DOHC ZC ECU).
its all plug and play. no modification needed
then there is a d16z6 1.6 SOHC VTEC motor. It realize heavily on being in vtec at all times to make power. it is a more 'fun' motor, IF YOUR CAR IS A CRX. probably acquired for slighly more than the ZC, the reason i say more is because your total costs will be higher, you'll have to convert your electronics to OBD1 from OBD0. i had a d16z6 in a crx hf, great fun.
In a wagon... the choice to me is obvious, the ZC wins hands down. The ZC is simple, cheaper, and a better power band for the heavier wagon.
One of the most common mistakes i see is people not choosing the right kind of engine for their chassis. Honda's speed is based ENTIRELY on their power/weight ratio. With a higher weight, and being restricted to d-series, you need something with a more constant, even, powerband. The ZC does that. this entire analysis is based on assuming you are not going boost, just something bolt in that's more fun.
hope that helps abit.
