Grab a beer, you may be here a minute...
I have a tendency to delete pics from my host (imageshack blows, hopefully figure something new soon) that I feel arent being viewed. So most of my threads pics are no longer there. I figured I would have them rehosted and just maintain this thread (as requested in forum rules).
I've owned a lot of Honda's. Mostly Civic's. I consider myself a loyal Hondaphile as I have no desire to ever stop owning Hondas. I plan to own other cars, but my 93 hatch in particular will never ever leave my family.
Back in 2003 when I discovered there was a 4wd Civic available, living in the North West, naturrally I wanted one. The hunt started. In April of 2004, I recieved a phone call from my grandfather, who owned a car lot. He said that he had just takin a red 4wd Civic on trade in. Obviously, I bought it. Thanks to those like Akiraboy and CLsmooth, I would become hooked for life on this particular platform (mostly because of 4wd).
The car smoked a little when I bought it (130k). But was cleaner than hell. I knew a swap was coming, so I started buying things for it right away. Including a DOHC ZC. Shortly after the snow fell in 2004, the DOHC ZC RT4wd had become my daily driver/pizza deliver car (still had a 2000 hatch).
During the summer of 2005, while on a delivery at work, I was involved in an accident that would lead to the end of my first RT4wd. Feeling I had enough of the scene, I gave up on Hondas and completely parted out the car. The beginning of 2006, I found myself back in AZ, and without a Honda of any kind for the first time since I got my liscense. I was an incomplete man lol
I was givin a 91 Cavalier by my parents for the move. Over the next year I minimally drove that, and rode my bike to work while I saved money for a new car.
Enter my 93 hatch. The car was owned by 3 friends before myself, and I tryed to buy the car every time it was up for sale but the timing was always bad. I had saved enough money to purchase a car or have a nice down payment on a new one. My friend Josh that owned the 93 hatch before myself, wasnt even trying to sell the car. Living in AZ, I was in Spokane, WA over the summer 2007 visiting, when I called him up and offered him money. Thankfully, he accepted my offer.
About 3 weeks after I brought the car to AZ, the car was stolen from my apartment complex. When my roomate and I went to the parking to go grab lunch, it was literally a caption from the movie 'Dude, where's my car'? Having had a couple drinks the night before, I hoped maybe I had just forgot and parked it somewhere other than where it usually was. No dice. I called the apt complex, they said they didnt know what happened to it. I called the police, and they said the car had been picked up in North Phoenix (I lived in South Tempe, places are night and day if you get my drift). I asked, what is the condition of the car? They couldnt tell me anything. Just that the car was at an impound yard.
Well, you can see the pics below. The car had been wrecked and the front end was all kinds of fucked up. Motor mounts busted, control arm snapped, etc. Use your imagination. I was just thrilled all they actually stole was my iPod and stereo.
Living in an apt and not having many tools after my move, I had to pay a shop to get it 'running' again. Three weeks after it was stolen, it was 'running' again (use the term loosely, lots of shit still needed fixing).
I didnt drive it because I wasnt happy with the condition. So it sat, again, in the same spot.... without and ecu.
As luck would have it, a week after spending over $1g and not having a computer in it... it was stolen... again!
Woah is me.
A week after THAT... I got a call from Tempe police at work, they had recovered my car. Needless to say, I clocked out and got my ass to the location where it was. Less than a mile from my apt. There it sat. Just as it did before it was stolen. Almost as if I had parked it there and pulled the ecu myself. You can imagine this is still an ongoing joke.
So, I hid the car in a buddys garage for a couple months until I had my own. And an alarm lol At which point I proceeded with the big tear down. I had planned to do a full bay shave, extensive wire tuck, battery relocation and the whole nine. So there I found myself purchasing another wagon as a daily driver.
By July 2008 I had had enough of AZ and its people. I threw the hatch back together, havin fallen short of my plan. Just fixed everything and did a lite tuck with HAsport mounts being my only 'upgrades' in the process. Then I sold wagon #2 and hightailed it out of the South.
Now I sit in Seattle, in the winter... w/o a wagon That will change soon enough though.... Here are all the pics I have of my last 3 Hondas. And couple videos. Most that have been here a while have seen these. As I'm here more now a days, I thought I should repost this stuff, so those that dont know me, can.
WHEW.... kudos if you read all that lol enjoy the media...
If you want to get straight to my old wagon, fast forward to about 2:15

A VTec subharness was never made. The harness was bypassed all together. This has been cleaned up... along with a good scrubbing of the engine bay

What happened? Did a grizzly decide to take a bite out of your car?
More like my car tryed to take a bite out of a full-size Chevy Blazer lol
In retrospect, I wish I would have fixed it, and brought it with me to AZ. Over a year w/o a Honda was too f*ing long!
I got quick money from parting her out. Can't imagine where she is now...
Shit man, you only got a month on me...
I been in it for a minute lol

Moving back to WA!
Gonna buy me a 4wd when I get back!
Anyone interested in buying her, PM me!
I'll know this week about my new job. Everything works out I'll have one by the NW meet!
