how were they disconnected? were they cut or what? cause it they were simply unplugged, the bumper signal will have a socket that only fits into the bumper lense housing, while the corner lights will have their own sockets...

if the wire were cut then i believe the bumper lense colors were green and black

    THEY WERE CUTTTTTT!!!!

yeah i was just looking at them and there are like 3 different black wires?? i hooked them up but got nothing. must be the wrong ground maybe?? i thought grounds didnt care??

how far did the dude cut them? because the bumper lenses are quite further then the corner lights... i didnt think the grounds mattered but maybe they do...

you have to make sure that the three colored wires are correct though. also make sure they arent cut anywhere else!

yeah good point about them not being cut anywhere else. i am really not sure. the squirter doesnt work either cause it is cut and disconnected. i think they may have attempted a wire tuck and ditched the idea. some people shouldnt touch cars IMHO>>> :)

oh gosh yes, just like my friend  his idea of a wire tuck was to rip all the visible wires and stuff then under the battery... ended up disconnecting the main ground thingy and his lights, wipers, and signals were way messed up for a while until i told him what his problem was.. haha...

ok here is a pic of all the wires cut/and or disconnected from anything...i am looking for a washer fluid reservoir that is why it is out right now.

    WHITE/GREEN (CUT)
    BLUE/RED (CUT)
    RED/BLACK (CUT) (turn signal maybe??)
    2 OR 3 BLACK (CUT) ????
    GREEN/GREY??? (DISCONNECTED)
    GREEN/RED??? (DISCONNECTED)
    BLACK/RED?? (DISCONNECTED)

in other words it is screwed up!!! I know one of the plugs is for the washer fluid pump. the Big yellowish one at the bottom i dont know what it does. anyone else know what is going on?? Also there are a LOT of added grounds for some reason??? i dont know WTF is going on :)

IMPORTANT!! this box thingy with all the black wires MUST be bolted to the chassis!

if this isnt bolted on you wont have any ground. so step one is to get this grounded. there is a spot for it on the chassis, i can get you a pic if you need.
  • wabashkywabashky New Wagonist
yeah they are all grounded...those were the ones that were 'added' as in they have a crimp on connector and all grounded to the same spot. there were like 5 wires i wanna say in that thing.

i believe the wires and plugs circled in red are the corner light plugs. the thing circled in blue should be mounted where the arrow is pointing...

the WHITE/GREEN and BLUE/RED wires are hot i know that now (test light). seems whichever light is supposed to be hot for turn signals isnt doing so. Also, part of my problem is they converted it to JDM corners which have 1 light not two. So that may be the WHITE/GREEN and BLUE/RED wires???

EDIT:: you posted right when i did...i am going to go outside and test those two harnesses and see if they blink. Thanks
  • wagodizzlewagodizzle Council Member and EDM expert
that could be.... i tried looking at my wires, but they were covered in grease and such and im too tired to mess with them further right now, haha.... tomorrow i could figure out what wires go where...
  • wabashkywabashky New Wagonist
thanks so much for your help :) i am checking those plugs now.
  • wabashkywabashky New Wagonist
wasn't the plugs...it was another wire sitting underneath that i didnt see. also learned something new, bumper light has to be in for side blinker to work. must be part of the relay or something. now i got both blinkers working PERFECT. Thanks wagodizzle
