wagon seats

I just bought an 89 RTAWD and was wondering if I can fit a passenger seat from any 89 civic in without any mod of the seat rail

no, the seat rails are different in the wagons then the hatchbacks. what you could prolly do is take the hatch seat and mount it to the wagon rail.

what about other year wagons ,will the 1990 wagon seat fit?

im not sure, though for now i would say yes a 1990-1991 seat would fit in a 1988-1989 wagon... the 90-91s had different seat belts intigrated into the seat so thats why im not 100% sure if it would work or not.
  • You could probably just use the cushion part of the seat from the newer wagon seat and use the hardware (belt, wiring, rails, etc.) from your wagon seat.

    you must swap the rails.

I have some seats for a 90 wagon coming, I 'll give that a try, I bought the wagon missing a passenger seat so the rails would cost about 100.00 the honda dealership, I will post back the results when the seat get here
    thank-you everyone for your help

just got seats from a 90 wagon and found out the rails are about 1 1/2in
longer so they need to modified, the front mounting tap rivets need to be removed and the taps moved back and welded back on, seat belt is built-in but can be removed
