Lower Control Arm Bolts.

Any ideas on how to get them out of the rear crossmember? I finally got some garage time to work on getting my old crossmember out and managed to get the four bolts that hold the crossmember to the car to turn. I didn't actually take them out yet since the control arm bolts didn't come out and it seemed pointless to have just part of it taken apart. Since I got those turning, is it a safe bet that they'll come out ok? The control arm bolts seem to be pretty stuck, though. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Sorry if I should have just put this in my other thread, but I didn't know if anyone would look at it since it was just wagodizzle and I chatting for a while at the end.

(Wagodizzle, I'm still interested. I just have to make sure I can get this one out before I know for sure I can fix it.)

    hey,
even though the crossmember bolts are turning right now doesnt mean they will come out, though its about a 95% chance they will. sometimes what happens is it'll start coming out then get tight again. but i dont think it would happen on there.

as far as the LCA bolts are concerned.... um, your best bet would be to prolly drill them out (after you tried and tried to get them out normally, by using WD-40 and/or a torch and hitting it with a hammer). if you have to drill them dont worry about it cause i could also just send you the bolts from the parts wagon

    you'll be fine :D
  • I plan on changing the bushings on my LCAs, as well as the shocks, and was told to simply take a sawzall and cut the bolts off.

New bolts are readily available from Honda so just plan ahead, order the bolts and, when they come in, do your thing.

    Cheers !!
