mysterious box under drivers seat

yesterday i was forraging around in my local yard and taking parts off this 1990 A/T wagon and found this blue box-like relay looking thing bolted to the rail that the front part of the drivers seat was bolted too... my wagon does not have this but it does have the boly hole to bolt this box to. the box is like 4x2x1 inches big, and on it says "central looking control" its genuine Honda as well... idk, do any of you guys have this? could this mean it was pre-wired for power locks or what. it had an extra wireloom running to it which i did not find on my wagon, though i wasnt looking that hard, it could be under the carpet... anyways, i'll post a pic after i get home... until then, does anyone have a clue what i am talking about!

Did the car have power seatbelt?
I think that where they put the control unit.

yeah it had power seat belts, and so does mine, except my car doesnt have this...

maybe only Auto wagons had them?

It's the shift interlock control unit. I believe it keeps the key in when the shift lever is not in park, and also checks that the brake pedal is pressed and the car's in park before allowing the car to start.

Haha thats soo weird, interlock units are usually under the dash, I guess wagons are special and get the underseat treatment

My dad's 1991 ford escort also had this same mystery box. I think they put it under the drivers seat at first then decided under the dash was better. Just my two cents!
