Beagle bar dimensions?

Wondering if one of the lucky few here that have the Beagle Bull bars have the ability to do a small write up on the dimensions? It would rock if we could get some made. They wouldn’t be exactly the same, but it would certainly be a nice add on! Any takers?

I would'nt mind to have one. But I wouldn't moint it below bumper(clearance)...I would find a way to fit it in bumper air dam!!!
I am looking to get just the stock dimensions from the begal bar, if somone wants to customize it afterward, should be pretty easy to get whoever is making it for you, or yourself if you are, to make the changes needed.
Anyone who is lucky enough to have an orginal beagl bar want to jump in here? Shouldnt take too much to get just the mesurments......
Hoping one of you Beagle owners or Beagle bar owners will chime in!
Don't take this as me being an ass I am just really curious as to the stigma behind this dumb bar that sits on the front of my car.
actually i hope to get a RT4wd as a daily as soon as i get some mulah, then raise it, get some fat tires and install the bar on it and USE IT!
It's sort of a lame reason, but that would be mine. I'm not really that crazy that it has to be exact, but I would use it for a guideline. If I ever get around to making one, I will probably just find a couple of pictures and use them as a rough idea of where I want mine to be.
Seems like it would be easier to fab up that setup rather than the beagle bar. I also saw some bull bars in the newest Summit Racing catalog I got. One of them looks very similar to the beagle bar.
you are very right about that. the top portion fits very nice but the lower half goes a bit too far out for my liking. plus my car is lowered so it wasnt going too well in the city (scrape bump DONK scrape) but im thinking it would look pretty nice on, say, a RT4WD
The wagon is my daily beater right now. The reason I bought it is so When I move back to Vancouver ( I live in Cali right now) and it snows, the RT4WD will be a perfect winter vehicle. No, the Wagon will never see a show.
I like the look of it, and need somthing to mount the PIAA driving lights that are coming in. OEM fitment Generally looks best, so a copy of the OEM part would be nice, as the OEM part isnt avalible here. I would take almost any setup, but the Beagle one looks just about perfect!
If I wanted JDM, Id go and have someone import the bar for me. And as a side note, my car sits only about an inch and a half below stock height. I have plenty of room. So yes it will be used for what it was designed for.
By the way, this seems like a pretty funny comment from a guy who seemed to jump on the AE86 bandwagon a while back.......
Back to the origonal question, anyone willing to get those mesurments? Really want to get one fabbed up for my wagon!
Do you have a link to the bars you mentioned at summit?
All the cars I own are pretty rare over here so owning them is more of a "wanting something nobody else has" vs a "I want something everybody else has." However you probably didnt' know I live in Germany and not in the US.
So now let me show you how easy this would have been.
1. Print this picture
2. Now hold the picture up and look at your car and my car.
3. Now on your car mark on your car where the bar sits on mine in the picture.
4. Now take those measurements and have a bar made.
1) The band wagon comment was meant as a semi funny jab, guess I hit a nerve?
2) Your original question was obviously worded as some type of Jab at JDM parts (referring to them as crap) which confuses me about why you are all over the Nissans you have over there, when there are all kinds of nice high performance out of the box cars that can be purchased there.
3) Taking a shot at me for what I am looking for seemed fairly uncalled for. Asked a question about measurements, not to get an interrogation of why I wanted it. I am sure there are plenty of people other than me that would love to get a bullbar made up for our cars state side. Lucky guy, you already have one!
4) I did realize you lived in Germany, as it comes up in your posts. Congrats. Way to go on wanting something no one else has. However, they really aren’t all that uncommon over there (at least the S13 wasn’t last time I checked), you should have kept or rebuilt the Opal C. If you really wanted something rare, maybe an E30 M3 that still passes TUV would have worked out too? But to each his own right? See my origonal post.....
Instead of taking it as a flag for you to start freaking out on, How about you just go a head and post of those measurements? I’m not looking to have a who’s dick is bigger argument here, because frankly, I dont give a shit. I’m looking to get some info on how to get something made, you decided to pop off. I make one little comment, and you loose your marbles. Guess what? You nothing about me either. So how about you relax and help out, or just relax and stop reading the thread if you dont like it?
If you want to keep this up, please just PM it to me, and keep it out of the thread. Now back to the original question!
If anyone has measurements on a front Bull bar for the wagon that they are Willing to share, please go a head and post them up!
By the way Asian, that bull bar looks bad ass. That’s exactly what I want mine to look like.
That picture might actually help out. Do you have anything that show what it looks like underneath the car? And a picture showing how far out it is from the bumper? It looks like it also bolts into the licence plate position in other pictures I have seen, is this correct?
Try this.

They have lots to sort through.
thanks 8)
The top is 55 cm wide
The middle where the lights sit is 66
the lower is 77
From the middel bar to the top is 25
and the total from top to bottom is about 60
I would see how much space you need for your lights and measure from the bumper out to see what you need. I will try and get you a pic from under the car tomorrow. However I have some serious ground work going on at my house that might keep me busy but I will see what I can do. I forgot exactly where but I had to weld two pieces of 1" X 1" metal with two holes drilled in it to mount the bar.
I am willing to give my beagle bar up because it was only purchased for the mere fact that nobody else had one. Other than that I dont' really need it
Just teasing, can't a guy who has been slinging mail all freaking day have a little fun too 8)
By the way I am half asian so I wouldn't win the bigger dick contest. HA HA
Oh yeah the lights sit on a sheet that bolts into the two bolts for the license plate frame. My piaa lights suck. What model do you have? I bought this thing thinking it would help the wife see a little better than the fog lights provided and provide a little frontal impact when she runs into people.
So are you willing to sell it? How much?
Could you ship it to 74427, Fitchenburg?
HAHAHAHA!!!!
I should be able to ship it. It is pretty damn light since it is all aluminum. I think the piaa lights weigh more than the bar itself.
Well the one I ebay went for 340 bucks if you can believe that.
340, DAMN. It would almost be smarter for me to have one made. I assume you would want that for that one?
I ordered PIAA kit number 5192. These are the driving lights. The actual plan here is to do the headlights yellow (some love it some hate it), and run the Piaa kit all the time. Im sure its illigal, but if I can make it look stock enough with the bull bar, I might get away with it for a while.
I was never sure what actually came with the Begal unit, any idea what that part number is?
I really think that a better design can be made though.
I dont' know what kind of PIAA's are on there but you have to figure they are at least 14 years old now. I have new bulbs in there but they just don't work all that well. They aren't adjustable up or down either. They are in a fixed position and when I turn them on they light up the area above my stock headlight beam but that isn't where I really needed the light.
I could definately ship to that address with no problems. If close enough I could deliver but really I am not sure if I want to get rid of it just yet. I will hopefully be able to rip into this wagon this summer and give it some new life.
I might have to look into getting some kind of angle down to that plate to get the lights to hit the ground properly.....
My wagon, which is REALLY beat right now, will be hitting one of the local schools for body work. Should only cost me a couple hundred for all the work and paint. I am building a new D16A6 in my garage for it, that will go in after paint. Then, if the plan goes thorugh I want to do the Bull bar, the tow hitch, and a roof rack. This will NOT be a show car, but hopfully it will see many Vancovuer BC winters, and will be able to two my civic hatch from time to time......
Big plans, we will see if it all happens.
Problem is I got too many projects going. So we will see.
See if you can get any more info on the dimensions of the plate, and im going to see if somone can fab it up for me......
I will see what I can do about getting some better measurements tomorrow when it is daylight out. Remember I am quite a few hours ahead and it is already midnight. So off to get some sleep so I can sling some more soldiers mail around the world tomorrow.
I think having one fabbed up would be much cheaper too. It is one solid bar with that one center bar welded in place. Other than that is looks pretty damn simple. I just hate seeing my bar replicated for the masses
Plus, I am guessing you wont see many of them. Not many of these wagons end up getting put back together, and most are pretty beat over here. I am sure becouse of TUV you see some clean examples, but here most of the ones I have seen are dead (like mine), and most people wont take the time or effort to rebuild them.
If I can get this done, I will see if some people are interested and maybe get a few made up, but my guess is for the cost, most people wont do it....
