door knob stuck

Another new minor annoyance....

Rear driver's side door knob (the "button" at the top you pullon to unlock door) has become nearly impossible to lift.

Is there something I can do short of tearing the panel off to apply grease?

Please say yes, because those little white plastic clips were impossible to find when I broke some in the past.

The door card (panel) clips can be replaced with more modern style ones from later cars. You need clips for an 8mm dia. hole like these:

And ,please ,use one of these when removing the panels.It doesn't take much force to damage the panels around the clips .It took us a long time to find the good panels.
