Exhasut questions/ new here

Hi my name is Nate, I'm new here. I recently bought a 90' rt4wd, in june. I absolutely love it so far. But I have a question regarding exhaust. What are some of you using for exhaust systems and exhaust headers? I haven't been able to find any. Let me know please, and thanks! heres a few pics...[IMG][/img]13568860_10205749564127741_7267247428222510467_o_zpstssjkos9.jpg

  • Hey Nate, welcome aboard. Familiarize yourself with the advanced search, and use the search titles only option as well, it helps.

Myself I'm running one from J2 it's basically a two piece generic 4-2-1 setup that most everyone uses.
  • GTG he has a RT so his only choice is stock or a customer made monster for a header.
  • Ah, my bad, totally missed that. Yup, what Truck said, gotta do custom. That said it's not that hard to get custom exhaust done.

just have to ask because I havent been in the game for a while are those replica itrs or real deal holyfield ?
  • The PLM headers seem like they would work well and the ones I'm going with. Because the D-Series headers don't have a flange on them you need to do some welding work anyway, or have it done and the extra work won't be too bad I think.

Here is how it sits stock:

I'll have some more posts up in my build thread once the exhaust starts to get worked on.

They are $450 so you only need to go this route if you want to squeeze out max NA power, but it's another option that I think would work with minimal extra work. Oh...no PS or AC though. :P

Exhaust is pretty much going to be custom. Buy a muffler you think will work well and have the rest of the pipe bent or just add a muffler to the OEM exhaust. The OEM stuff is really tiny though so you would have a sound gain only.
