8) It may not be a bad option if you're needing a new engine.Lots of speed parts availble & mo to come.Used engine & adapter kit would run u between 3-$4,000. plus your blood & sweat.Incredible torque. With the K20a3(160hp) it'll probably do 15second down the 1/4 stock.Use the K20a(220 hp) and mid- 14's.Composimo's CRX wK20a will likely do mid-12's(much lighter car.).Mind you these are with OEM Stock engines. You could pay Composimo 8-$10,000 for a turnkey 1.
My cousin and I wanted to go with K swap in are wagons. Maybe the first wagons in the eastcoast at least with K swaps. Great motor swap but it just too expensive for our pockets right now. I'd like to see one done though. Mad props and keep us posted if you go K.
i am going to go with the K20A2, which is the rsx-s motor with the 6 speed gearbox. I am still going to have trouble with the hood closing is what everyone tells me, so i might have to get a hood made for a wagon, has anyone evr done this. I know wagon hoods are different, so i guess i need to call an aftermarket body place and have them make one. let me know what you guys think.
There was a guy that did a K20a in aCRX that stuck up above the hood about 2"(50mm).Ask Hasport since they have the kit if it needs a JDM type hood.I think the wagon actually has more hood clearence.Or call ComposiMo at this link:http://www.hondacivicwagon.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=159
I pretty sure u don't need a hood.
