rear quarter panel replacements

Hey I found these and thought you might be interested. 20 euros for the part and 20 euros shipping to the UK. They say it is for the 4dr EC/EE/DE 88-91. After Christmas I will be buying both sides.

    what only 20 euros!?!?

panels like that go for $600 over here from Honda. i might be needing a set for a *pending* project coming up hopefully.
  • I can get them for hatches for the same price.

naw the hatch project is 100% rust free down to the last bolt under the car and in the engine bay.

its my families old wagon that needs open heart surgery

    Ah holy crap dude
Can you give me a link please ?
I'll buy them like right the hell now and see if they match up ok.
I have a mate with a 4 door EF who can use them if no good on the shuttle.
20euro's for the part is obscene!!

Kinda wish I hadn't signed it's death warrant so soon
  • how many U.S. dollors is that? i'll buy 2 sets right flipin now!!!
  • If you people want them I can buy them and ship them for those in the US. Nominous I will try and get you that webpage for you.

Everybody else who wants them PM and I will do what I can to help you out. Let me order one and see how well they match. The last time I bought one for an opel the metal was untreated and a little thin but fitment was pretty good.
  • 20 euros is 30 dollars.
  • With less alcohol and more inspection, the picture certainly looks more like the 4door sedan version. The arches are less humped. The shuttle ones are a lot wider and flatter at the wheel well.

Found a link to the site. Shame they don't do EF arches for the CRX either.

didn't find a link but true a friend of mine I got there phone number and called them.

they are working on a new website so I can't give you a link yet but they e-mail me some pics of the CRX arches they have.

    the info they gave me

CRX '88-'91, ED9/EE8 wheelarch right side

CRX '88-'91, ED9/EE8 wheelarch left side

they have both in stock and they are 70 euro's a piece.
  • I don't think they are that far off. Well as I see it we dont have too many options and at least us Euro guys can get the 4dr sedan ones. I knew they were for the 4dr sedan. The only other car close to the wagon is the Honda Concerto.

Do you have the honda Concerto up there? It is the 4dr with 122ps. This is about as close to a wagon as you are going to get, minus the 4wd and the wagon part. It sits more like a wagon with a higher profile just like the wagon. It still doesn't look like the wheel arch in the rear is going to work. Might be a little closer though. It looks like the distance from the rear door to the arch is shorter on this one also.

one of these stock concertos with the ZC might be a cool project to modify for 4wd.
  • The problem I see with the arch not being the same as the shuttle is that the rear doors have the flare of the wing in them. So with the different arch the door won't match up to it.
You can see that in this picture, wher the door jam starts the flare is still going so is transferred to the door:

Certainly it's a damn good starting point, but I think there will be a lot of filler to bring the arch back up to match the door :?

We get the concerto yeah. It's more Rover than it is Honda tho.
For example the chassis is not the same as an EF.
Say if you were to do a B series swap with one you'll find that the engine bay is smaller and commonly available conversion mounts don't fit correctly. You have to butcher the drive shafts too rather than just put them in like an EF.
It's based on the Rover 200. I've know a few people doing B series swaps to those and the resulting mounts are very ghetto

yeah wagons are even more unique to the 4th gen family in the arches. the sedan and hatch both have relatively "mellow" arches but the wagons are much more "pronounced"... kinda like a ford focus if you will.

still i think the sedan arches would be a good starting point, perhaps one could mod the arches by adding some flares for wide ass wheels, that would look hawt 8) either way it gets rid of the cancer :x
  • Got an email back from those guys, their supplier doesn't make the part apparently so damn it. But nice that they checked :)

the rear arches are unique to a wagon. the sedan/hatch/crx one will not fit. the front fender arches fit pretty good if you cut them out and weld them in. search for 'biggest wagon restoration ever'
