rear seat pull tab probs??

Notoriously, my little tabby things for the rear seats are broken and was wondering what some of you guys used to pull them up so i can fold down the seats? Also, how in the world am i to go about getting them replaced or fixed???

  • I know that there used to be a guy that sold some metal replacements on here and on ebay.. Use the search button.

You can also steal some from another car, or maybe use some door lock pullers.

In a blatant act of self promotion, I'd like to offer these as replacement rear seat pulls. They're listed on ebay and have sold a bunch locally, everyone agrees they're quite nice. Of course, they're not JDM, so anyone going for an all-original ride won't agree...but if you need a good set of replacement rear seat pulls which won't break as they age and won't tear up the seat in front, check out ebay Item Number 180153140484

If you don't like ebay, you can also see them at the very bottom of my page I created concerning how to NOT install In-Channel Vent Visors:

I'm still trying to figure out how to post a pic here...so forgive the links in the meantime. [/img]

Bassettsnose has a good idea.Go down to your nearest Home Depot or OSH.I saw some tite knobs like with dice or skull tops.
  • thanks for the reply fellas. but still, how did some of you guys go about unscrewing the broken tabs? Mine are broken off pretty deep into the seat, i can barely grasp them with some needle nose pliers. :?

I got some from the junkyard. Took them out of a 91 hatch. Use needlenose vise grips to pull the old ones out and just screw the new ones in. I think I have extras too not entirely sure though, gotta look for them
  • ok cool, ill look into that, thanks alot! shoot me a pm if you come across those extras
