DA rad into wagon

I've developed a hole in my rad. Currently I have some stop leak in it and it's doing the trick.

I have a DA rad since I'm doing a B swap and was told to pick it up.

Now the question is, will it simply bolt right up? I know the hose size is different, but do I need any special hardware, or will it simply fit into place?

  • i have a 90-93 integra radiator in my wagon and it fits with no modification. it is mounted with the stock civic brackets too. the hoses were a little bit of a stretch but they fit.

Are you running a B series?

If you have the parts, why don't you just compare them?

You definitely don't need the radiator for the swap. But it's nice you have it now...
  • The junkyard was having a 50% off sale and it was suggested to me so for $20 why not. My stock rad is still in the car so I wouldn't know what to be looking at really.

    Thanks for the help civtec
  • i dont have a b series in my wagon, only the radiator. i had an lsvtec and 90-93 integra radiator in an 89 civic si.

When you do the swap, take pictures and post them in this thread for future reference.

Wasn't able to take photos due to dirty hands and me not wanting grease and stuff all over my phone.
However I have a write up in my build thread: http://www.civicwagon.com/showthread.php?17846-Gandalf-My-91-Wagon&highlight=gandalf

It's not too serious of a write up, but it lets you know the struggles I went through.

i'm 99% sure I too have a DA rad in mine, and no modification was required what-so-ever. 99% sure.

headbanger.... what is that in your avatar? in any case, :encouragement:

The reason I have an issue is because there's a little rectangular block on the rad that sticks forward a bit and touches the hood. Maybe a different year, or aftermarket rad wont have that same block
