CRX HF Final Drive into RT4WD Manual Transmission

I was thinking since both the CRX HF and RT transmissions are D-series, wouldn't the HF final drive be compatible with the 4WD transmission?

I've been doing a ton of out of town highway driving and I'd really like to run a much lower RPM at 70-80MPH.
Has anyone ever swapped out their final drive for a longer gear?

I already researched this and I couldn't find any information on this. Thanks in advance!

  • Unfortunately none of the fwd d series gears are compatable with the 4wd gearbox. I know this isn't the answer you wanted, sorry!

I know it isn't your thing, but tall tires will get you where you want to be.

Search some of Jakers posts... I remember him discussing the differences.

I remember it being something like the 1st gen Integras were the closest to the RTs. Honestly don't remember specifically.

...there may still be an answer for the problem.

    Gah!
I had no idea. What a bummer too.
I really did figure the gears would be the same but leave it to the RT to be the oddball bastard stepchild of the group.

    Thanks Sir.
    I will do just that.
