Tip for installing speedo cable to tranny

Well today I found my latest wagon beater purchase had a problem with the speedo cable coming out of the trans hole, (there was no clip securing it in) Anyway I got a clip and found that installing it was tough! the boot is very hard to pressd down and get it to cover the clip area. Maybe there is a special tool for that but here's how I finally managed to get it installed. Pull the speedo boot back up the cable so you have easier access to it. Turn the boot inside out, then slide the boot back down the cable to the mounting area and roll the rubber boot over the clip and with any luck that will work better for you. (you may need to roll the boot just slightly from the inside out postion to get it to go easier before you slide it back down the cable) I tried to get that boot over the clip for an hour before I worked out this easier way. My hands are still sore! Wonder if there is a special tool for that? Humm :?: Please add to my post here if there is....("No Occifer, I have no idea how fast I was going, but it's just a Civic wagon, so it couldn't be that fast...was it?")answer: here's your ticket sir and your fine $$$, 200kms  NEVER underestimate a Civic wagon! 8)
