what else can i do to get more camber?

hey guys i just did my alignment.

after my alignment specialist did the alignment he had to raise my car a bit more than i would like to, to make sure i dont wear out my tires too much. the reason is because my camber kit could not be corrected further than what i wanted.
ultimately i want to drop it another half an inch in the front but it will add to much camber and will wear out my tires prematurly per my alignment guy.

so is there anything else i can do to get more correction?

the kit i have now is the skunk2 pro kit for the civic ef. and it is maxed out.

my thought was, could i use like ingalls kit and add it to the skunk2?

are there any other options?

  • Tell your alignment guy to go kick rocks. As long as toe is set properly, you'll be fine with tire wear. Just be sure to rotate your tires regularly.

How much camber are you running?

If the alignment guy doesnt think its safe then I would be listening to him, yea yea yea, its not camber that wears tyres its toe. But excessive camber does make a car twitchy at hell on a wet road. Been there done that, its horrible and dangerous

im not concerned on the camber numbers.
i want to know what i posted in the original post, which is what parts are there that i can get to make it even more adjustable.
  • Maybe I'm hearing this wrong. But camber is a tire wearing issue. Caster not so much.

See if this helps or maybe I'm not understanding this. LMK Thanks
  • To get the kind of camber wear like in that picture, you'd need some ridiculous condition like -10deg of camber while running bias ply tires. Yes, excessive camber can cause some tire wear, but toe is BY FAR the biggest factor influencing tire wear.

949, what are your numbers? Just because camber isn't "in the green" on the aligner's screen, that doesn't mean you'll wear tires. If you're in the ballpark of -2.5deg to -3.0 deg, you might see evidence of camber wear over time if you don't rotate. If your measurements are more extreme than that... with the skunk2 arms adjusted all the way, then something isn't adding up. Those skunk2 arms are about as good as it gets for correcting front camber. DC Integra front knuckles can give some positive camber, but they throw the caster off.

agreed here. running -2.7 front and -2.5 rear on my s2k and i get wear on the outsides more and im running some fairly aggressive toe too. You just have to turn hard enough to even it out :D yes though, toe is the tire killer
