Disabling auto belts?

Alright, I'm wokring on a project (pictures will be posted, don't worry) and it involves removing the auto belts..

Anyways, have the fuses removed from the battery terminal. I have the auto belt motor and track out of the a-piller. It is also removed and unplugged. Plug in the door is unplugged. Now I need to figure out how to bypass the cluster that sits on the seat. Everything works good till you unhook it, then it beeps non-stop. Anyone know how to bypass this thing?

This is not a safety issue I already have new seatbelts installed.
(Me and the good ole state trooper already had a talk about it... ha)

  • I have the same d*mn problem with a HB with manual belts. I keep the passenger side belt clipped in, regardless of whether there's someone there or not.

The only way to stop the beeping seems to be stopping and restarting the car. I'd always figured my computer had gone crazy. Nice to know it's just a Honda feature. @_@

Ahhh i love my canadian model wagon with manual seatbelts. I have extra sets of belts and a-pillar plastic in my parts wagons but they are really far away now.

i see i see. that looks tight dude.. now get some damn pics!! im getting super curious about your interior and also how the shifter looks after the MT swap. :)
  • Unplug the electrical connection under the seat and stick a paper clip in two two of the slots (making a connection between them using the paper clip as a tiny bus bar). I can't remember which connectors need the paper clip in them, but I had to do that when I had the seat out, and it stopped the beeping.
