Power window Conversion??

I was wondering if power window conversion is possible. Maybe all the wires & regulators from a sedan?

Is it possible? has anyone done this before?

Thanks

i was wondering about this as well because i know of a 4-door civic that has power windows that i could get.
  • yeah i went to the wreckin yard yesterday and saw a ex sedan with door panels and complete power window set up.

    Any suggestions??? anyone???

the only prob i see is that i think wagon widnow openings are taller so the window regulators are made to go up and down more..... iono.

You best bet would be to get the power setup from a JDM/EDM wagon.

I met a guy in a car show with a wagon who had pw. He said the regulators were a straight bolt on. He had sedan set up.

I have an 90 LX sedan pw set up on the side for my wagon. Its a future project. It involves pulling out your front seats to run the huge harness under the carpet.

i was also thinking about this setup eventually... there are always like 6 or so sedans here in the yard with power windows. as far as already having a fuse we are good to go ;) infact there is also a sunroof fuse and power door locks fuse :D

now, does this automatically mean that the wagon is prewired?? as in, will it be plug n' play??

(this is kinda lame, but what would you fill the ugly left over holes in the door panel from the manual windows??)

i have power windows and door lock on my wagon.

its not stock stuff i have after market locks and power windows. it was a ton of work but it works. i made it to have one touch up and down on the windows. the door locks all lock or unlock at the main door and with a seperate switch i made.
  • Yeah It must be a ton of work. I did a power window conversion on my EG so two more doors would be that much harder. However all my cars have p/w and Im just so accustomed to it. I guess I can live without it though.

Does anyone have pics of the set up in their own car. Also does anyone know what relays are needed. I was also wondering if the locking mech from the sedan would work with the wagon? Wire diagram "power setup from a JDM/EDM wagon."

Last question how much larger are the wagon door panels compared to the sedan models.

To resolve the issue about the holes. I was just going to get my panels recovered or get another set recovered.

    Suggestions.

    Thanks
