brake caliper play, normal?

If i reach through the spokes of my rims and grab the top of the caliper (floating part), I can wiggle it up and down and it makes a slight clank noise.

are my slide / guide pins worn out causing play?

if i'm coming to a stop light and hammer the brakes at slow speed i get a shudder through the car.

Are the bolts tight?!???

Something's wrong, and most likely you're missing the lower bolt or it's loose!

The bolts are tight tight and nothing is missing. both the slide / guide pins must be hammered out.
