    The woodgrain one stays with me, the leather 3 spoke momo is probably going to be sold and my friend has dibs on the leather 3 spoke ATIWE 32 for his B18 Hatch with full EE9 interior.

    Not much to give away left lol (and believe me, these wheels don't come cheap for me too.)

    Been really busy getting my hands dirty lately so not much time to hang on the internet,
    Yesterday was HondaFest in the Netherlands, was a nice event, my guess is around 800 cars from all over Europe.
    Weather was awesome and seen lots of cool stuff.

    Here's a few pics of the Shuttle on this event;

    Havent been working on the Shuttle lately, even havent driven it in about 3/4 weeks, havent found any rare stuff and my personal life is too busy...
    pretty much sucks, need to change that!

    I do have my favorite pic ever from Hondafest (18th of may 2014, shame I havent been to shows or meets in a while now)

    I'm in love with those Mugens. You're wagon is perfect.
  • VladiVladi Senior Wagonist
    Yeah the Mugens stay with the wagon, I really cant think of any other set of wheels that will improve this look.

    So I was scrolling our Dutch auction sites and I came accros this;

    104.jpg

    Ive been wanting venetian blinds for a while now but everything I come accross is way overpriced for something I didnt even know if it looked right.
    So I picked these up.
    Vintage 70's and BNIB.

    Such an easy install and such a cool outcome;
    Took me about 50 minutes including clipping the louvres to the right measurements( Thanks to the GF for that!).

    105.jpg

    they look white in the pics but theyre gloss black, and the rails are a metal color... I love it, it's a keeper.
  • Love how this is turning out man amazing work
  • VladiVladi Senior Wagonist
    Thanks man.

    Im trying to get some more sets of these now.

    If it goes through Ill make a sale thread.

    Love that rear shot/angle of the 2nd picture. Those mugen MR-5's are growing on me and if I was to ever purchase a set i'll prob re-barrel and add a step lip/up size to 16's. :encouragement:
  • VladiVladi Senior Wagonist
    Rarreling+upsizing them will be a pain because of the innerbarrel and rim being one piece. You could take the center out and try to get some custom made barrels to make them 3pc with a step lip tho.

    Probably will cost a huge amount of $$$.

    That shot is one of my favorites too!

    I actually also looked into it myself, pretty much you will need lips + barrels.

    It will have to be a very capable machine as the mounting surface for the centre isnt flat, it's on a angle....

    Ao looking at about 2-3k usd or so to do it if you're able to find someone who has the correct machinery.
  • VladiVladi Senior Wagonist
    So they would need to be machined flat first...

    If I had 4 spare centerpieces I would look into it... But I dont like the idea of chopping my good wheels up.

    I had my wheels custom made by Vincent owner of www.spinfab.net they were originally 5x100 but were filled and re-drilled to 4x100. My BBS RT's are 1 of 1 4x100 3-piece set-up, they were never made in 4x100 bolt pattern. If you check out his site he has the ability to perform what @Grifty is describing and you will see the attention to detail in his finish products. He already created many 1 piece OEM Mercedes/other OEM wheels and cut the face off and turned them into a 3-piece set-ups with no balancing issues or issues in general that I've heard or read of people reporting about his craftsmanship. A lot of the custom expensive wheel set-ups came from www.spinfab.net that you see at major shows and many car show videos on youtube. Yes, they are expensive but when you get into custom wheel set-ups you should already know and except that your going to be spending $700+ per wheel, this is not for anyone who doesn't know how to save money. I can vouch for www.spinfab.net quality work which is A-1 top notch and quick response/delivery time. It took close to one month for my BBS RT's to get made and delivered to my door step. Good thing was he had all supplies on hand so no wait time.

    I've seen Mugen MR5's in 3-piece form meaning I've seen Mugen MR5 faces being sold. I am not 100% sure Mugen made MR5's in 3-piece tho..... The route I would go would be purchasing the faces alone but visually making sure there are no cracks or imperfections on them cause Vincent www.spinfab.net "will not work on faces with imperfections". Next I would communicate with Vincent and initially sent him high resolution pictures of the faces itself and if that passes send in to spinfab.net for custom work. He can upsize what ever you want. Took me a long time saving up for my wheels but at the end of the day it really is to each his own cause they are expensive but on an other note getting what you want and being happy is the main thing.

    I know some of these guys too, however im not a fan of fill and drill.

    RT's (BBS Nardi's) are 5x120 only right? Dont you have the problem that the piece where the center cap screws in is notched up by redrilling to 4x100pcd?

    Anyway, Im not really looking for new wheels, I still like the Mugens lots, i got a fair offer on them but I dont think I will sell them...

    Damm that was a typo yes they were 5x120 not 5x100 my bad. I don't have any problems with my hex cap and i'll post pictures of my wheel with the hex cap and cover removed. Vincent he did a really good job on the fill and re-drill the best that I've seen around! I only got BBS RT's cause of the rare factor 1 of 1 in 4x100 bolt pattern and was really looking for BBS RS's at first but the RT's was calling my name. Been thinking a lot of them mugen's and I might just do it in the future well after my car is finally painted.

    2015 didnt start off running for me, didnt have much motivation and the car stopped running a while ago when I was just keeping it warm for the winter, didnt start afterwarts.
    I was wondering if it was the fuel relais maybe, after a quick battery reload the car ran perfect again so the relais was off the list.
    I let it run for another half hour and *pooof, engine stopped again.
    After a bit of research I took the ignition off and there was a bit water pooring out, so there was the problem. Very weird since the car ran perfect for an half hour and had to be warm before the water sabotaged the ignition.

    Anyway, solved that and took it for the yearly inspection, Just needed to clean the brake calipers and it was a go for 2015. With compliments from the mechanic that did the inspection.

    Tonight im installing 4 new Federal 195-45-15, was thinking about going with smaller tires but I liked the ride on the Mugens with 195-45 so much that I picked a little function over fashion. The car will be a cm higher in the front and 2cm in the rear which would bother me, but I think the age is taking over and making the ride more interesting than the looks.
    Friday alignment, so I'll probably flood you with pics this weekend.
