woooohweee, these updates have me sweating. Good stuff dude! I just started in the auto-body program at my local community college this semester, can't wait to work on my cars in our shop!
Thanks. They have me literally sweating haha. That's awesome dude! You'll love it. You'll especially enjoy it when you work on your own stuff. Theres a great satisfaction when you bring something back to its original shape and form.
Lolol. The camera caught to much detail. It's a JDM option. It's called the turn on your cooling fan switch to manually operate your fan. It's so useful. But for real, I bought if like that. I need to get rid of that ASAP.

So original right!? Haha Thanks Bill. Ohhhhh burrrrrrn. Jk lolol.
Taped up up the wagon up for 4th time during the span in being in the shop and if everything goes right, the last time. Projected to get'er cleared Wednesday. Very excited that the refinishing part of this build is coming to an end.
Also I like the texture on the upper door trim next to the windows- im not sure how I feel about it on the rest of the trim...
I will reserve judgment until she is back in one piece!
The pressure is to much. I'll start putting it back together probably tomorrow. I want it running and as a whole car by next week. I really liked how it came out to. I only put it on the the rocker panel cover and belt moldings. It would of looked ugly if I put on door handles and other plastic pieces. But she is cleared though.
Thanks guys! I'm really happy how it turned out considering I only painted a wood block and fender before doing this. It was a huge leap. A lot of people thought my arm would die off in the middle of the paint job but I held up pretty good. But the 2nd round of clear really made the color stand out. I'm very pleased with the results. I wanted to start putting the car together but I'm taking care of dirt nibs. Sending them down with 1500 than hitting it with 3000 than buffing it. I'm anxious to get it running again and moving onto the manual tranny swap.
spend the money and get some 5000 grit wet sanding DA paper from 3M and 3m swirl remover; it will come out so flat and shinny you could take a selfie in it. looks good though. can't wait to see it in person.

I've been using 3000 and the mini buffer we have. It looks great. Going to look into that 5000 though.
I painted the engine bay flat black. I think it looks awesome. I had to buy a new condenser and lines to get my A/C running again. I'm really excited to have COLD A/C in one of my cars for the first time. Got her running to. Started right up after 5 months of sitting.
That's beautiful! Nice on the cold a/c as well. I'm definitely jealous of your wagon. I want a Sexy shiny wagon like that (I want cream - yours is safe). Lots of hard work and it looks like it paid off!

Thanks, good answer! That means you know what I'm in for. .
Glad you made it, now it's time for more pics of that blue wagon in the sun, doing cool wagon stuff!
Thanks,
Victor
Yea buddy! Get er done. This week for sure. I know I've said that a couple times but for real this time haha. I don't think it will be DD ready just yet. My brake pedal sinks to the floor once I press on it. I bled the brakes and it still does it. Bad booster? There's a coolant leak in driver side area near the water pump. I'm thinking it need a new one. Also, my condenser fan doesn't kick on when hot. Both wires leading to it are hot so that's not good. But other than that, it should be ready for daily driving duties.
Exterior is done. I'm in love for the first time in my young life! I let the pictures do the talking.
A bonus shot just because I was in the mood. Lol.
