Maybe your throttle cable is to tight. I had a similar problem. When I pushed up on the bottom of the gas pedal the idle went back down. Loosening the throttle cable fixed it. Or it might be your fitv.

    Fast Idle Thermal Valve.

Is the problem occurring when the engine is cold, warm or both?

it happens when the motor warms up...

is the Fast Idle Thermal Valve a expensive part to repalce?

or can i repair it or what?
  • I had the same problem with 2 of my crx's. Ít could be the watertemperature sensor, just below the ignition. Replace it, and problem should be solved. Doesn't the check-engine light light up? If the problem gets really bad, it will. Then you can check the ECU-light if it really is this TW-sensor, but it probably is.

thanks for all this information one of these things is bound to be the problem..
