Exhaust system set up?

So I was looking at DC heads and a high flow cad.

A 2.5” pipe setup

Mufflers are my question

I was looking at a Aero Turbine muffler set up
Any good?

So what a good set up for a wagon and what could give a little boost in performance?

you're probabky ganna loose more torque than you'd want to going with a 2.5" setup unless you are or will be going turbo. I know that honda motors generally dont benefit much at all over 2.25" na unless they are fully built.

i've never had any experience with dc headers but i liked my megan racing header i got from ebay. At the time, i believe it was $135 shipped off of ebay. I've been told and found people to like the megan racing either as much if not more than the dc designs.

I've never heard of those mufflers you mentioned but i know magnaflow mufflers sound pretty sweet. nice and deep. I think i'll be going with one of these if/when i get a turbo setup if/when i get a wagon.

2.5" a little overkill? what about just 2"?

The muffler i was looking at are new and have the same princilbes as a jet engine.

If you like to look here that web sight

Heads i migh get off of ebay.

Turbo would be fun but ill have to wate on that project.

that muffler is pretty interesting. I dont really know how i feel about it. But what exactly do you have planned for the motor? Depending on what you plan on doing to it may help you decide on how large in diameter exhaust piping you should go with.
  • that muffler looks like overpriced gimmicky loudness to me. I got my whole exhaust system installed for that price.

Unless you are going to do something radical to the engine, a 2" system should be plenty big enough. Maybe 2.25" if you are going to do a B swap. I would go with a 4-2-1 header off ebay, high flow cat, glass pack resonator and a low-cost turbo muffler if you want to have a mellow sounding performance system that doesn't cost a lot.

Well i talked to a friend and he said that that muffler wont work on a stock motor but if you have a B or H searies motor with a turbo it would be perfect.

So how about a little help?

A friend of my i going to sell me his DC heads (he's turboing his DX)
and im looking at 1.75"-2" Pipe is this reasionable enought? And the muffler? Um im looking for low to mid loudness with lower pitch growl.
Or whats a good set up?

4-2-1 extractors with 2" collector, 2" exhust all the way through and a decent muffler with 2" inlet... mint.
