  • It does look like it's higher than it's supposed to be. My car is an '88 and the springs came off or red_civic_standard's 1990 RT4wd. Maybe there is that much of a difference betewwn those years?

Is your car awd? If not the awd springs have quite a few more coils on them than a regular 2wd one.

I thought that Andy put DA integra springs on it before he sold it to Luke... I could be wrong, though. I'm going on fuzzy memories of reading old threads on ef-honda...

Are your rear struts for a wagon of another civic? That might explain the jacked-up rear end.

It looks like you are ready for some serious off-road adventures in that thing!
  • The struts are for an RT4WD as are the springs. The car is an RT4WD model with the manual tranny.

I'm still unsure why it sits as high as it does. I have more ground clearance than a Ford Explorer and double the gas mileage! I win.

LOL i LOVE it, i want my wagon to sit that high, i have a 91 rt but it doesnt sit that high... i was looking around for some sprint/strut set ups to lift it, also confused why yours sits so high... looks great tho, run your tread on your tires out already and get some bigger tires!

^ it might be that the spring perch/seat on the shocks is higher for the RT4WD's (and due to the different springs).
when i tried on my KYB's the perch/seat was at least 2" higher than the OEM's, so it sat higher, even with my coils all the way down.
