Band Wagon
I had wanted to do this for awhile and today I finally got started.
First off I took out my 10" Sub & Amp - 15lbs
Next I removed as much of the A/C from the engine bay as possible, this included the compressor, condensor, condensor fan, belt/pulley tensioner, compressor mount, and all the A/C lines. -35lbs
Finally I took out the spare tire & jack - 25lbs
Currenty the car is sitting on ramps in my driveway waiting from a new exhaust flange for my catback exhaust. Since it was on the ramps I decided to install a SS exhaust header (4-2-1) and high flow cat. I didn't weight this but it probably shaved around 10lbs off.
That brings the grand total to approx. 85lbs shed.
Future mods include an underdriven crank pulley, which will take off another pound or two, as well as some racing buckets and the removal of the back seat. I'll weigh those when I have the time.
I can't wait to drive my baby again
