The DPFI manifold will only bolt to the sohc zcs. Because of the increase in displacement and the more aggressive cam, you may gain 3-5 hp. The DPFI system is a choke point beyond that.
More than that. I wouldn't doubt it if its in the 10 or a little more range.
Look at the results of a d15 with DPFI to MPFI swap...typically 100-102 hp.
A D16a6 is only 105-108.
So even with a milder cam and -.1 displacement, the D15 gets pretty close. That tells me the real choke point is the DPFI.
You can put the more aggressive sohc zc in there, but the DPFI is not going to be able to keep up air/fuel demands and power output will suffer.
Piece of anecdotal evidence: I recall a DX owner from the now defunct Club CRX Texas who put a D16a6 head/block in his DX and kept DPFI...he said he didn't notice any difference except a slight drop in mileage.
