fuel pump issue

1990 honda civic wagon dx 2wd
d15b1 automatic

replaced main relay and fuel pump.

i do not have any power to the fuel pump. i connected a jumper from the ignition wire from the radio harness to the (solid yellow, white stripe, single red dot). the fuel pump continues to pump but does not turn off. i am able to get the engine started but i cant seem to figure out why the need for the jumper.

i edited the original post with more detailed info. i have already replaced the main relay and the fuel pump. no change. the first relay was bad, and my extra one i thought was bad so i bought another. it turns out to be fine so i have 2 good main relays. the fuel pump was bad. im thinking that when it finally died it messed something up. i cant find what got messed up!

    Try an ignition switch

    1. Fuses?
    2. Ignition Switch? On back of ignition key cylinder.
    3. Or on Main Fuse Panel(under dash) mounted on the backside is the integrated control unit... Part #16

i have done some deeper investicgation. i've been able to follow this (yellow, white stripe, single red dot) wire up to the left wall behind the dash that go into some connectors. i cant see or feel what they are connected to but i do see the yellowish plastic connector. ill try to get more details tonight! i hope it goes to a realy and all i need is a small black relay...
