Choice of three - which distributor? td02u

My distributor is a squealing mess. I know you all will steer me right. This is for my 88 rt4wd d16a6.

$100 used honda oem from e-bay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/88-89-90-91-Hon ... 2432wt_845

$160 New Richporter Industries - 2 yr. mfw. O'reilly sells these. Can put this on tomorrow...

$100 JDM ebay

Any body have an opinion on these or another one for under $200? Just rebuilt then did shocks, clutch, injectors, wheels and tires... feeling the pinch. Thanks!

I've heard good things about Distributor King online, but have no personal experience. I've always been able to source used OE ones.

There's a lot to be said for buying one with a warranty from a place near you. The service available is worth a little more money.

I would go stock usdm honda and save the coil and ignitor for spares from yer broke one.

I had also heard good things about distributor king, but I ordered one from them and was not happy with it. In order to get the ignition timing set correctly it had to be rotated all the way forward. I even had to remove one of the 3 bolts so it would go far enough. After driving it for about 2.5 years, the coil went bad. I ended up getting distributor from autozone and it timed perfect with it adjusted to just about the center of the slots. I won't buy another one from them.
  • I just bough one from my work 1 yr warranty with cap and rotor for around $130 without discount. Where at in oregon are you at??

Thanks all. I don't think Distributor king is in business anymore? Their e-bay store has zero items for sale. Thinking I am going to go with the OE from ebay and keep the coil and ignitor as spares as turbo suggested. Hopefully it cranks along for a couple of years. Wont be able to get it on until the weekend anyway now. Too busy to even pick the thing up.

Thanks for the local offers! You guys rock.
