What is the motor out of? I think they stopped using the bolt holes after the EG's. I recall this discussion from the old site i think.

that would be great i could pick up a spare d16a6 and rebuild it and not have as long of down time.

d16a6 has holes but they are not tapped, the only d16a6 that has tapped holes are from the rtw4d wagon

ahh so i dont need to drill anything just get the proper tap to run in the holes?

I might disagree. I picked up a used 90 Si block from one of David Moore's old CRXs. I used it to build a mini-me...which I then used a ZC hybrid transmission that used an intermediate shaft.
Long story short...the holes were there. They were tapped. Full of dirt/grime, but tapped.

After my B-swap, I sold that transmission/intermediate shaft to a buddy. He bolted the whole thing to his 91 Si with no drama.

i also thought they had to be tapped but recently picked up a 90-91 si motor. the holes were there and tapped. gonna install it this week.

i dont know how much boost im gunna need if i stick with this turbo and mani im gunna have to push it high but im thinking of going with a ram horn mani and a bigger turbo with a 3" down pipe. im hopeing to get it spooling a lil faster that it is now so im gunna have to choose my turbo wisely.

where are u from in WA?
