You need a standard ecu, and you should have done some research before you started this.. much easier to do this:

  • seems as it is damn .... well the cars all wired up now so well see what happens tomorrow
  • Dont want to thread jack but figured would be ok since its having to do with the conversion and car is also my daily driver so do not want to have as little issues as possible when it comes time to do the conversion.

I found this write up and I am wanting to make sure I am understanding it correctly or more confused now then ever.

Is it saying I could use the stock ecu and dizzy then just rewire them according to the diagrams and directions?
I have a complete z6 manifold I want to use and would like to use the z6 injectors if possible but if I could stay OBD0 for now and use the stock dizzy which is brand new I would be happy as it will save me from having to buy more parts to do the conversion.

Then down the road I have a z6 head I plan to freshen up and could make any changes or adjustments down the road that would be needed to make work.
For now I would like to get the dpfi converted to mpfi with as little money as possible.
Another thing to take note of is mine is a 4spd at the moment jdm d15b.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!
  • honestly i got all my stuff from the junkyard idk if its all goiung to go right i will find out in about a half hour as far as parts i really switched it all up im wiring obd2 plugs to my obd0 harness to run a y8 mani i wont have an airtemp sensor but that will just throw a code i know and i grabbed the selector out of the auto so i can run the car with it in neutral kind of another safety switch like i said its really about how good you are with wiring the replies i got were mediocre as i know theres easier ways to do it but i was wondering what would happen with the auto harnesses and it appears as though nothing the only thing i lost was a map light and electric seatbelts so far which i can live with i just moved the seatbelt clips all the way back and disconnected the relay so itll be a plug in belt instead of electric

Wow that's a lot work... you probably do the MPFI swap in the time it took you to take the dash out
