Nubee 85 wagon poor idle when heater fan not running

Hey fellas. My first Honda and my first post. I recently purchased an 85 4wd wagon and it has a couple oddities. The biggest problem is an occasional rough cold starts and rough idle when the heater fan is turned off. Strange. Idle fine, turn off fan, idles rough, turn fan on, idle fine. Vacuum leak? Thanks
