Replacement Splash Guards

At the risk of having the thread locked, etc. please let me ask: Does anyone have experience with aftermarket OEM-style splash guards / mud flaps specifically for our wagons but mybe also in general?

I was in my local O'Reillys and noticed a display of molded splash guards made to at least resemble factory parts. I did a little digging and found a couple brands but the ones at the store were apparently Highland Contura and apparently go for about $20 a pair (for rears) http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/searc ... vi=1381115

I know that even CRX and sedan flaps have to be modded and I'm sure the fit on these wouldn't be exact but has anyone seen them outside the store and installed on a car?

If memory serves me, I don't think I've seen this attempted. The only aftermarket flaps I remember seeing on here were Rally Armor.

Because the OE guards are still relatively cheap and easy to mod, and plentiful in the junkyards I believe they will give better results.

I'm sure we can find you a pair in the bucket-o'-mudflaps. I don't think the OE guards will work on my current project, either, so that's another loose set.

A member on here once put Rally Armor flaps on his. For the life of me I can't remember who.

I was actually rummaging their site a week or so back. They all seem to be fit for Subarus. I thought they were originally universal.

I'm planning something aftermarket. Maybe Yosemite Sam? Lol Not sure yet.

Yeah, I had rally armors on my wag and it was ok. At times they looked awesome and at other times they looked kinda ehh. But they installed in 40 minutes, were stupid durable and super cheap!

just be careful of them Rally Armor ones. They come in two different *universal* thicknesses. the $20 are worth the cash but wear easily. the $100 ones are what they supply on real rally cars and are muchhhh more durable. i bought some but bitched out and found some wagovan ones instead:)
