Brake upgrade help por favor

Ok, so I spent several hours reading various threads on brake upgrades. 10.3..11.1...ex,dx knuckles..grinding brake pads....on and on.(My ADHD is slowly taking over)...
Can any of you that have gone down this path offer a more direct explanation. I just don't want to end up getting the wrong stuff and spending more time than I need to at the yard pillaging.
so far my shopping list says,

17cl15vn calipers
23T brackets
93 LS rotors

wondering what MC should I get if i get dual pots and why cant I use type r rotors instead of the LS's?
is there any way I can get away from having to mill brackets and grind pads?

thanks in advance,
dazed and confused.... :|

My buddy did it with everything off a Si Crx and had no problems, so from I know 90-91 Si civic and crx stuff works no problem and I had integra stuff for my Crx with an integra master cylinder and just needed different E-brake cables, the only setup I kno needs modifying is the EX parts

    Thanks dude! more to consider.
  • another bolt on option is the 90-93 integra hubs. bolts right to our cars and gives you larger than our current system. however your sort of limited in your 14" wheel selection due to the caliper bracket getting in the way (a little grinding will cure it). basically just remove the entire hub/spindle assembly and bolt it directly to your car (front). As for the master cylinder you can use the 15/16ths unit found on the 88-91 civic ex. majority of all ef's are 13/16ths. doesnt seem like much but it makes a difference on peddle pressure.
