Nyborg Garage: 1989 Civic Shuttle RT4WD Turbo

Hi all, this is my daily driver turbo-wagon project :)

I bought this car about 10 months ago, but I did not have time to do anything with it until two months ago.

The turbo projected basically started because I had lots of parts laying around at the shop from previous projects (turbo, intercooler++).

Here is the spec list for the engine:
stock d16a6 engine
cdm T3/T04 ebay turbo
cdm cast turbo manifold
cdm 44mm wastegate
cdm intercooler/piping
PM7 ECU modified by me using turboedit free software and the moates ostrich emulator.
used 550cc injectors
xenocrom 255 fuelpump (not mounted at the moment)
NGK sparkplugs
used JDM Integra Type-R exhaust (except the rear muffler) modified to fit the shuttle
Fidanza flywheel
F1 racing stage 3 clutch

The plan for this car is to use it as a daily driver, and the occasionall weekend racing on frozen lakes. To get the balance and feel of the car that I wanted I was pretty sure that 250/250 springs would be ideal. So I contacted Bisimoto and asked the to make me such a kit, luckily it was no problem for them :)

And I have to say I was correct. The car is just as soft/comfortable as I wanted it to be, and also the way the weight of the cars transfers from left to right on the icy roads is just perfect (if the springs are to stiff/hard you can't shift the weight from side to side like you would want to). The rear is also quite stiff, so the balance between over-/understeer is just perfect.

At the moment I have had the car on the roads for a few weeks without any problems. It's boosting 8psi from about 3200rpm :)

    Nice Pics! Good work
  • Thanks :)

Next step will be to finish the exhaust with a proper rear silencer.
  • Winter is over, which means time for new (used) wheels.

    how's the drive?

    It's loud..lol

The 250/250 springs without the stabilizer bar up front work just like I had planed in the winter, but when the car is this low it's a little bit to soft up front for summer use. But a good stabilizer bar would help a lot (preferably in the rear also).

All in all I thinks it's a great car to drive.

I have driven almost 6000 miles this winter.
