auto to standard swap qustions

ok some seen the wagon i am tryin to build and i am almost done but i have to figure out the auto to standard swap befor i go to far... i got all the peddles and cable and that shuff done but i do know i have to do some thign to bypass the neutral safety switch .... any one know what wires i have to jump or ground??? i have a 1990 wagon.

i did look first but did nothave any luck.

    my 88 rt4wd doesnt have that switch .... i can start it without stepping on clutch....

    i looked on Majestic but no luck

  • Here is what I did to my 91 civic hatch to bypass the switch for a remote start. Way up at the top of the clutch pedal there is a switch, it has two wires coming out cut them then twist them together. Very simple, but if you have cruise control and you do this, your cruise control won't work anymore because it thinks the clutch is pressed.

    The wires you're concerned about aren't at the pedal, they're by the shifter. This is totally from old guy memory, but I think it's a big black wire to a green wire??
    Don't quote me on that...

    If you look at how the auto shifter works, and which wires make contact in park or neutral it should become clear.

    ya i found the wires for that i got that down but now i dont have auto seat belts workin and i kinda rember them workin befor the swap.... any info on this guys
